परिचय

Sant Dnyaneshwar, also known as Dnyandev or Mauli, was a great 13th-century Marathi saint, poet, and philosopher. Born in Apegaon, Maharashtra, at the young age of 16, he wrote the monumental scripture 'Dnyaneshwari', creating a priceless treasure in Marathi literature and spiritual tradition.

'Dnyaneshwari', or 'Bhavarthadipika', is not merely a commentary on the Bhagavad Gita but a masterpiece of independent poetry and philosophy. Dnyaneshwar simplified the profound philosophy of the Gita for the common person in a lyrical and poetic (Ovi) style. It beautifully integrates Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, and Jnana Yoga.
